Polaroid

The strongest technical aspect of my work would be layering the polaroid backdrops into the actual picture. It was easy to choose a way that they would all fit in to make sure that I had a point that I could make it look like it was coming out of the picture. The aspect that could be improved would be turing the pictures a little more than some of them are. If there were some that turned completely up the sides it might give the picture a different effect.
The easiest part of this project was layering the polaroid pictures on the actual picture. Also choosing a picture that would give a good 3-D effect when you erased part of the polaroid. In this project there wasn't anything that was difficult. It was tricky trying to erase just enough of the white without exposing that the background is there.
I demonstrated this project by using the polaroid picture stencils. I also used the erase tool on photoshop to remove the white that is around parts to make it look as if they are breaking away from the pictures. If I could do this project again, I would try another picture and see if I could get other aspects of the picture to pop out.

Movie Poster

The strongest technical aspect of my work is the way that the zombies in the front are bigger and as it goes back they become smaller. Also, the main characters in the movie are bigger and stand out more behind the zombies. The aspect that could have been improved would be the text at the bottom with the rating. It was hard because of the color of the zombies at the bottom. I had to change the color of the words which made it look a little out of sorts.
The easiest part about this project would be choosing the movie and then layering the images to create a new one. Once I had the zombies all cut out it was just a matter of placing the main characters in the background. The difficult part, for me, was choosing the right text font for the bottom of the poster. I should have found another way to add the other characters into the bottom text as well.
I was able to demonstrate this project by choosing a movie that I love and taking the most of the show into consideration. I used many of the different tools to cut out the images of the zombies and the characters. The background has a gradient layer behind the image, but because the image opacity is low, the gradient layer shows through it. If I could do this activity again, I would try to choose another movie, or even just change the text at the bottom.

Text Art

The strongest aspect of my work would be the way all the fruits fit in to make it look like the original image. I chose a font that was wide enough that would cover all, if not most of the image. Most of the images were aligned just right that they were able to fit and you could really tell what the original image was. I could have worked on making the image clearer. It looks like some of the letters in the image look like they are pixels instead of clear letters. Also, some of the words overlap into other images.
The easiest part of this assignment was taking the image and warping it to fit the fruit. Once I got a hang of all the steps, it took no time to finish this project. The difficult part of this project was making sure that you didn't make another word go on top of the image that was close too it. It was hard to tell what was going to be copied when you were warping the text.
I was able to demonstrate this project by choosing a font that would stretch throughout the whole background image. When warping the image, I aligned the text with the image pretty close to what the actual image was. I used the warp, text, copy, and paste special tools. If I could do this activity again I would like to try another image. I would try to push myself into trying something that was bigger and needed the words on there multiple times.

Personal Identity

The strongest technical aspect of my work would be the way I layered certain pictures. I was able to take some of the photos I found and cut them out nicely and fit them in. I used different tools to make the objects overlap other images. I could have improved on some negative space in certain areas. I could have changed the opacity levels differently on some of the images.
The easiest part of this project was layering the pictures and others on top the make them look like they are popping out. Once I had the film strip in the background of the picture it was easier to find pictures that I could work around that with. The difficult part of this project was making sure that cutting out the pictures nicely to make them look like there is no unwanted part of the picture. Some of the tools were easier than other but for the most part you needed to make sure you didn't get rid of all of the actually picture you needed.
I demonstrated the objective in this project by choosing pictures that describe me. I used the camera and the film strip because I would really love to be a photographer after high school. I am in color guard and I like to listen to music. If I could do this project again, I don't think I would change much. I would use all the same elements, but maybe change their positions and the way they are layered.
